Personal Safety, Puberty, and Self Care for Children with Special Needs
Featuring: Mary Wrobel, author of “Taking Care of Myself”
Ms. Wrobel is a teacher and speech-language pathologist who has taught and worked with students with autism and other disabilities for more than 15 years. As a consultant and national presenter, she trains parents and teachers in communication and language approaches, behavior strategies, academic/curricular modifications, safety instruction as well as health, hygiene, puberty and personal safety.

Financial Planning For Your Child’s Future
Featuring: Kirsten Izatt, attorney at law with The Estate Planning Group
Mrs. Izatt’s legal expertise includes estate planning from a parent’s perspective, wealth preservation and Medicaid eligibility planning. She often is quoted in the New York Times, and she speaks on topics, including family wealth planning, future care planning for children with special needs and asset protection of inheritances.

Managing Anger: Yours, Mine and Ours
Featuring : Margaret Salyer, L.C.P.C.
Adults with children of all ages will learn when anger is good, when it's bad and when it's ugly. You also will learn specific techniques to manage and express anger, and ways to teach children to do the same.
Ms. Salyer is on faculty at Benedictine University in Lisle in the graduate program of Clinical Psychology. She teaches classes and manages the field internships for students learning to be counselors. She has training in family counseling and play therapy for children and has a private group practice in Lisle. She has been conducting parent education programs for almost 10 years throughout the Western suburbs.
Ms. Salyer is dedicated to working with children and their families to solve problems and create better relationships.
